The IC-R8600 is a super broadband 10 kHz to 3 GHz communication receiver that allows you to hear and watch a wide range of signals in different ways.
Not only can the IC-R8600 decode various digital communication signals, but the advanced FPGA processing technology also ensures clarity and accuracy of the received signals. With the optional remote control software for Windows® PCs, received sound and spectrascope data can be transmitted via an IP network for monitoring from remote locations.
Super broadband range from 10 kHz to 3 GHz.
IC-R8600 is capable of decoding various digital protocol signals, including P25 (phase 1), NXDN ™, dPMR ™, D-STAR, the Japanese DCR (Digital Convenience Radio) and it also receives conventional analogue signals, such as USB modulation types. , LSB, FSK, CW, AM, S-AM (synchronous AM), FM and WFM, where 10 kHz to 3GHz broadband is covered in steps of 1 Hz.
Absolute value of the RSSI value *:
The IC-R8600 shows the meter types S-meter, dBµ, dBµ (emf) and dBm in the RSSI. The meters for dBµ, dBµ (emf) and dBm have a high accuracy of ± 3 dB ** (between 0.5 - 1100 MHz) so that they can be used to measure the signal strength.
* RSSI = Received Signal Strength Indicator, signal strength indicator received
** Better than ± 6 dB between 1100 and 3000 MHz
Software modulation in FPGA processing:
The IC-R8600 uses FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and DSP units for demodulation, decoding and most signal processing. Direct HF signals and mid-frequency signals, which are converted into frequency from VHF / UHF, are digitized in a 14-bit A / D converter and transmitted to FPGA and DSP for optimum processing. The high-rate 122.88MHz sampling frequency used for the A / D converter results in superior aliasing and mirror suppression.
Superior receiver performance:
The IC-R8600 features eleven discrete high-frequency bandpass filters on the shortwave bands and thirteen bandpass filters in the VHF / UHF range. To prevent overflow, only the intended signal is transmitted, while strong interference signals are suppressed out of range. The IC-R8600 has an IP3 of +30 dBm and a dynamic range of 105 dB at 14.1 MHz. The IP3 performance is at 144 MHz +10 dBm and at 440 MHz 0 dBm.
Spacious memory channels. The IC-R8600 has up to 2000 regular memory channels, assignable to 100 groups. In addition to the normal memory channels, up to 100 scan skip channels (skip) and 50 pairs of band crossings can be set. The automatic write-off function for scanning automatically saves occupied frequencies in the memory channels (up to 200 channels). These memory channels and various settings can be edited on a Windows® PC
